Get out of the house.

Get up from your bed, get out of your room, and move around.

No matter how much you want to cry, force yourself to make a cup of coffeej, or watch your favorite TV show.

Once you are out of the house, make a plan for the day.

For example:

– Go to the mall with friends and try not to cry while there; or

– Do an activity that requires your attention.

like paintballing, fishing, or hiking.

It will get better in time, and you’ll find that your friends are always there for you when you need them most.

Date other people.

If the pain is really great, start dating again as quickly as possible!

Dating will help you move on from past relationships and it’s a fun way to meet new people while making yourself feel included and attractive again.

Just remember not to play games or rush into anything

Just go out and have some fun.

Take up a new hobby such as cooking or painting.

When you are focusing on a new activity, it’s easier to stop thinking about your ex and all the bad stuff that happened with them.

Go outside and breathe some fresh air in the park, go hiking, sit by a stream.

Whatever helps get back in touch with nature and relax.    

Do something new!

Don’t sit at home all day and mope, as this will only make it harder to get over your ex.

Find an activity that you enjoy doing and do it every day for 30 minutes.

30 minutes a day is more than enough to take a break from everyday stress and have some fun.
